haha. I'm in the Philippines, in an internet cafe, checking my email, myspace, and blog. Oouf, what a loser! plus I'm in beautiful Boracay, and here I am inside. It's hella hot though!!! oh man. I've gotten so dark and crispy. The beaches are beautiful and it's a pretty happening place. I've gotten lots of bugbites and I've been eating a LOT of yummy PI food: rice, fried chicken, pancit, fish, calamari, squid, shakeys, chow king, and ube ice cream. I have to go on major detox when I get back.
It's costing me 50 cents to do this, so I probably won't be able to update until I get back. Bye bye!

okie, so I can kind of say, "This time tomorrow, I will be in the Philippines". Sadly, enough, this won't be true. No! Don't get me wrong, I'm still going, but I will probably still be on the plane. Yes. Wish me luck.
So, with all my academia on the PI , a book of crosswords, some stitchery, glossy magazines, trail mix, and Evian water spray packed in my new backpack, I will hopefully not go insane from boredom/being on a plane for so goddamn long-by myself. Oouf. I also quit smoking today...well, one more before I sleep, but after that one...oouf.
Sigh. I will miss the internet. Maybe I will be able to go to an internet cafe, or be able to go check my email/blog/myspace (haha) at my cousins', but for the most part, it will be quick. BUT, when I return, I will have a wonderful update, with perhaps pictures and junk.
So, until July 4th (aww...I will be back for the fireworks)...keep it real! haha.

I'm almost all ready for my trip. My bags are packed, I bought like 7 magazines, and everything else that I would possibly need. Except for Nicorette patches, these I'm still holding off on, becuase part of me thinks I'll be able to beat smoking cold-turkey style, that my 20 hours in the air and in airports will be the hump I need to get over, and then I'll be in the clear. BUT, I still am thinking about picking them up, because on the other hand, I don't think I can.
I'm in love with the North Face backpack I bought for my trip. It's super comfy, but it weighs a ton. Sorta. I think I brought too many things to read. oh well.
While driving back from my errands, I saw an interesting license plate. At first I thought it said GOOBLES, which I started cracking up at, because it sounded so funny, but as I got closer it really said GODBLES. oops. Speaking of God and stuff, I'm probably going to have to go to church a couple of times, which I'm looking too foward to. I think I might go only if my grandparents go. oouf. It's not that I'm an atheist or anything, I believe in God, and maybe even Jesus and stuff. But yeah, I haven't been a practicing Catholic in years. I can't even tell you when the last time I went to church was. Organized religion sometimes creeps me out.
I'm excited about my trip, I kept on thinking last week, "This time next week, I'll be in the Philippines!". I'm also very nervous, because I'm traveling by myself, and I can't help but be a little anxious about being duped, kidnapped, etc etc. But, it's mostly hope that my luggage won't get stolen. I'm especially excited to see my grandpa and grandma, and my cousins and family both from the PI and from Seattle. I'm excited about seeing my Lolo's plantation, laying out in Boracay, seeing the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, drinking lots of calamansi juice, and chowing down my gramma's fried chicken.
Still, the time away is pretty long, a little under a month, but in my planner, it only takes up three pages. I just hope I will be able to enjoy myself, and that I won't get sick or anything while I'm over there. Diarrhea Sucks.

last night was so much fun! it was one of those nights where you truly understand the meaning and need for awesome friends. Even amongst the drunken hilarity. I had my grad party with my friends, and most of my friends were able to make it, though I was a little upset that a couple of people didn't end up coming even though they said they were. Oh well. Mommy and I slaved about the kitchen to make lots of yummy food, and everyone loved it. I made chicken skewers with thai-red curry peanut dipping sauce. It was a winner. Everytime I have a party with food, everyone always goes home more than satisfied.

So, like all my close friends were there, and I was really happy that everyone who came made it. It was nice to see everyone, especially since I leave for the Philippines in four days (!). I gave john his love overdue xmas and early birthday gift, Pedal, which is a dvd of a documentary made on bike messengers in NYC and also came with a book. He loved it. He also loved my house and gave my mom a hug, which I thought was very sweet of him.

Drinking started at 5:30 for me, haha, and I was pretty much blitzed by the time it was 8. I love drinking at my house, because I don't have to go anywhere, my bed is right upstairs, there are no long walks, etc etc. Anyhoo, my dad kept on coming downstairs to make sure we weren't blowing up the couch or something, and my friends who are undergrads kept on congratulating him on having such an awesome daughter, haha. It's pretty funny to hear my friends tell my dad that I'm a role model to them, but also very heartwarming and verge-of-tears kind of feeling, ya know? Anyhoo, Emily and I started chanting 'Number 1 DAD!" and my Dad was just making fun of me the whole night because I was so drunk. hahahahaha.

It felt like everyone at my party was pretty drunk, but in reality, it was only really me, Megha, Mike, Stephanie, Alexis, and maybe Marisol. Haha. I had so many shots last night (out of my trust JWU shot glass from back in the day...I never picked up a RU one) and Mike played a familiar role of the "Devil", his nickname in high school, because he'd always try to make us drink or eat more than we could. I was pretty much a champ, though.

I remember me, Mike, and Megha at the end of the night, laying down on my dining room floor, and me and Mike taking very Vogue-esque pics of ourselves (well, Stephanie taking them) and talking about out plans to go to Bergdoff Goodman drunk, demanding to be dressed in couture. Haha. I used 3 disposable cameras (and I don't know how). So many pictures were taken last night! Kareoke was redoc. and we had 2 pretty good sing-alongs with the whole gang- Total Eclipse of the Heart and Sweet Caroline (I'm talking about getting down on your knees, and adding in all the extra lines that go in the song, etc etc. SO GOOD!) and we were pretty much ridick. the entire night. So much fun. So many cigarettes. So much vodka (oouf). I totally want to have another party....erm next weekend. haha. But this time next week- I'll be here:

so, booyah.

However, the rest of summer awaits me when I get back and me and the crew have big plans.
